Basketball
The
ACHS boys' basketball team has risen and
fallen over the past four years. At
one point, with a 5-2 district record, the
season looked bright. However, with
various injuries and set-backs, the tide
turned on the bulldogs. With four of
the five starters injured, the team
chemistry was out of whack. Juniors
had to step up and play more often than
they were accustomed. In the midst
of these unforeseen challenges, many players
achieved their own personal
victories. Defensive players
sharpened their offensive skills.
Many players increased stats, while others
prepared themselves to lead the team in
the following year, which goes to show
that the success of the team lies not in
the final score, but within the players
themselves.
