 Dance Team

The Ascension Catholic Sunshine Girls are a huge part of this school's tradition.  They attend camp every summer at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  For the past 17 years they have placed first at camp, which qualifies them for nationals.  They also perform at football games and pep rallies.  After football season is over they begin preparing for the National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Florida.  They have been attending the NDTC for the last 17 years.  They have competed in jazz, but for the past five years they have been competing in the Hip-Hop division.  Tryouts are held in April.

Courtney Phillips made the Universal Dance Association Allstar Team this past summer at camp.
